College is a unique time in one’s life. It’s the first time you are on your own and have true responsibilities. It’s a time that allows you to be carefree yet leaves you confused about who you are. It’s filled with some of the best memories and truest friendships, but also all-nighters and empty bank accounts. It’s a time in your life to cherish forever!
However, all good things must come to an end. So after four years of living on an emotional rollercoaster its time to graduate and enter the real world. This transition will have its challenges, but it will be an overall rewarding experience.
Here is a list of 20 things I plan to do as a recent college graduate to continue my journey of becoming the best version of me:
- Start going to bed before midnight
- Travel to a new place!
- Start a freelance photography business
- Start saving a predetermined portion of my paycheck each month
- Start a budget and stick to it
- Get my first real apartment
- Say yes more than I say no
- Create a fitness plan and stick to
- Spend more time with my family and truly cherish the time I have with them
- Make some of the Pinterest recipes I saved in college but could never afford to buy the ingredients
- Drink more water
- Take spontaneous weekend trips
- Learn to not sweat the small things
- Dress for success because believe it or not my closet consists of more than just oversized t-shirts and leggings
- Stop comparing myself to others
- Work to maintain my friendships
- Read a book for fun!
- Keep my home clean and tidy
- Create a consistent morning routine
- Adventure to and photograph a new place once a week
I can relate to a lot of these things! I just started a fitness plan recently and it is very hard to stick to a workout routine and diet, but even after only a few weeks of sticking with it I feel great!
