College is a unique time in one’s life. It’s the first time you are on your own and have true responsibilities. It’s a time that allows you to be carefree yet leaves you confused about who you are. It’s filled with some of the best memories and truest friendships, but also all-nighters and empty bank accounts. It’s a time in your life to cherish forever!

However, all good things must come to an end. So after four years of living on an emotional rollercoaster its time to graduate and enter the real world. This transition will have its challenges, but it will be an overall rewarding experience.

Here is a list of 20 things I plan to do as a recent college graduate to continue my journey of becoming the best version of me:

  1. Start going to bed before midnight
  2. Travel to a new place!
  3. Start a freelance photography business
  4. Start saving a predetermined portion of my paycheck each month
  5. Start a budget and stick to it
  6. Get my first real apartment
  7. Say yes more than I say no
  8. Create a fitness plan and stick to
  9. Spend more time with my family and truly cherish the time I have with them
  10. Make some of the Pinterest recipes I saved in college but could never afford to buy the ingredients
  11. Drink more water
  12. Take spontaneous weekend trips
  13. Learn to not sweat the small things
  14. Dress for success because believe it or not my closet consists of more than just oversized t-shirts and leggings
  15. Stop comparing myself to others
  16. Work to maintain my friendships
  17. Read a book for fun!
  18. Keep my home clean and tidy
  19. Create a consistent morning routine
  20. Adventure to and photograph a new place once a week
